Turn editing on
Go to Course Administration block > Question bank > Questions
Select a category the quiz question will go into the following category from the drop down menu.
Select Create a new question.
Categories can be created and changed later later.

Choose a question type to add
Current Category: Categories will be set up at a later stage. (See notes on "Creating Categories" for more information).
Question name*: Enter the title of the question. Question names are only seen by course developers (not students). You could enter your element and PC mapping in the name to make it easy to locate questions related to specific performance criteria.
Question text*: Enter the question text
Default mark*: By default, each question is assigned 1 point. You can change this in the Grade field beside the question.
General Feedback: You can provide general feedback in this area to give students a fully worked answer. You may also provide a link to more information they can use if they do not understand the questions.
Answer: Provide at least one correct answer to the question. All answers left blank will be ignored.
Feedback: Feedback may be provided for correct or incorrect answers.
Unit Handling: You can set whether or not the student needs to add a unit to the numerical value in order to receive a grade.
Settings for multiple tries
Penalty: A penalty may be applied for each incorrect try. Set to 0% if there are no penalties.
NOTE: Adding a penalty to a VET quiz would prevent a student that made an error from ever being able to reach "100%". For this reason penalties are not usually used with VET assessment quizzes.
Once you have completed your question, click on Save changes.
Repeat the process to add more calculated questions to your question bank.
