To begin creating your questions, go to ADMINISTRATION block > Question bank > Questions.

Select a category the quiz question will go into from the drop down menu.

Select Create a new question.

Categories can be created and changed later. (See notes on "Creating Categories" for further informaton)

General Category: Categories can be set up at a later stage. (See notes on "Creating Categories" for further information).

Question name*Enter the title of the question.

Question text*: Enter the question. Question names are only seen by course developers (not students). You could enter your element and PC mapping in the name to make it easy to locate questions related to specific performance criteria.

Default mark*By default, each question is assigned 1 point. You can change this in the Grade field beside the question.

General Feedback: You can provide general feedback in this area to give students a fully worked answer and perhaps a link to more information they can use if they did not understand the questions. 


Background Image: Choose a background image file and select draggable images or just enter text that will be made draggable. Then choose a drag item for each 'drop zone', and drag the item to where the student should drag it to. For a more specific example of this, please visit Example Drag & Drop Question

Settings for multiple tries

Penalty for each incorrect try: A penalty of 1 is applied for each incorrect try.

NOTE: if a penalty is applied it will be impossible for the student to attain 100% so this is not normally used in VET assessment.

Once you have completed your question, click on Save changes.

Repeat the process to add more drag & drop questions to the question bank.
